Tummy troubles are no fun — especially when it’s your little one dealing with them. Tummy Tincture is a gentle, organic blend of herbs traditionally used to soothe occasional gas, reflux, colic, heartburn, and tummy upset in both babies and adults. It works quickly, and it’s one of Herb Lore’s most beloved go-to remedies for a reason.

Made with certified organic herbs and an alcohol-free base, this formula is safe for nursing moms, babies, toddlers, and older children. Nursing? Take it yourself and pass the benefits to your baby through breastmilk. Need more immediate help? In cases of more intense discomfort, a few age-appropriate drops can be given directly to baby — even under six months, when needed.

Parents also report it’s gently helpful for easing constipation and supporting a more settled digestive system overall. Whether you’re dealing with post-meal bloating, a gassy newborn, or a little one who’s clearly uncomfortable, this is one of those “always keep it in the cabinet” kinds of remedies.

Heads up: Due to the fennel content, this tincture may also increase breastmilk supply (which might be an added bonus!). If you’re in early pregnancy, it’s best to use sparingly.

  • For Adults: Take two droppers three times daily or as needed.
  • For Babies: Nursing moms can take the tincture to pass benefits through breastmilk. For extra relief, add two drops to a teaspoon of water and offer directly to the baby.
  • For Kids (6 months and older): Use specific dosage according to age, starting at 4 drops for infants 6–9 months.

Our Tummy Tincture combines time-honored herbs known for their supportive properties:

  • Anise Seed: Traditionally used to ease digestive discomfort for both kids and adults.
  • Fennel Seed: Known for promoting calm digestion, particularly after meals.
  • Dill: Aids in relaxing stomach muscles, helping to soothe stomach aches.
  • Catnip: Recognized for supporting regular bowel movement and alleviating stomach cramps.
  • Chamomile: Provides gentle relief to calm the digestive tract.

1 fl oz bottle contains about 15 two dropperful doses of tincture.
2 fl oz bottle contains about 30 two dropperful doses of tincture.
4 fl oz bottle contains about 60 two dropperful doses of tincture.

For little ones, it’s usually best for breastfeeding moms to take the tincture themselves — the herbs will pass to baby gently through breastmilk. But if your baby is really uncomfortable, you can give them the age-appropriate number of drops directly. It’s safe for occasional use even under 6 months. Just remember: tiny tummies don’t need much.

Other ways to determine dosage:
Young’s Rule – Add 12 to the child’s age. Divide the child’s age by this total. Example: dosage for a 4 year old: 4 divided by 16 (4+12) = .25, or 1/4 of the adult dosage.

Cowling’s Rule – Divide the number of the child’s next birthday by 24. Example: dosage for a child who is 3, turning 4 would be: 4 divided by 24 = .16, or 1/6 of the adult dosage.
